Any player caught exploiting in Shadowbane will be subject to the following consequences :
1) First offense: A first warning for exploiting is sent by e-mail, no further consequence.
2) Second offense: A second warning for exploiting is sent by e-mail, a 7 day suspension is applied to the offending player's account.
3) Third offense: A third e-mail is sent communicating to the offending player that his or her case has been sent to the disciplinary committee for review and that their Shadowbane subscription is suspended for up to 3 weeks pending a decision by the committee.
We reserve the right to permanently revoke a subscription before a third warning has been issued to said subscription depending on the severity of the exploit.
The Customer Care Representative (CCR) team will issue warnings for exploiting when it is proved beyond any doubt that a player has exploited or profited from an exploit. Therefore only a CCR witnessing a player or a group of players exploiting first-hand or a recording clearly showing a player or a group of players exploiting will warrant issuing a warning to a subscription.
Please avoid situations where you are obviously gaining an advantage through a bug that was not intended by the developers such as but not limited to, getting stuck in a wall to become "invulnerable" to creatures, fighting creatures getting stuck in walls, just standing around unable to fight back or unable to gain a line of sight on a character it is currently engaged in combat with. Players caught away from keyboard (AFK) in groups with characters caught exploiting will be considered to also be profiting from this exploit and will be issued a warning as well, please be mindful of who you are grouping with and what the players in your group are doing.
Shadowbane Disciplinary Committee: When an account has reached its 3rd warning for exploiting, it is sent to the Shadowbane Disciplinary Committee for review. This committee is comprised of people from customer care, marketing, community management and development.
Account Suspensions: The account suspension process will always automatically reactivate an account at the end of the suspension period unless the account has been suspended pending a decision by the Shadowbane disciplinary committee, following a third warning or less, depending on the seriousness of past offenses. In that case, before the end of the suspension, depending on the decision by the committee, the account may be permanently revoked (banned) or the suspension lifted.
Account Bans: A banned account will never be reinstated. Credit card charge-backs and payment frauds also result in banishment. A ban is permanent and cannot be reversed. Banned subscriptions are non-refundable.
