  Bane Circle Placement

Errant Bane Circles
Any bane circle found with "none" as the guild that placed the bane circle will be left as is. This policy has been instated following a growing occurrence of guilds placing bane circles on their own city using an alternate guild then petitioning the Customer Care Representative (CCR) team to have them removed thus effectively avoiding getting "baned" by their proper enemies.

Nation-less Bane Circles
A bane circle found to have no Nation associated with it will be removed by the Shadowbane customer care team with no compensation provided to its owner. Causing bane circles to become nation-less was not intended by Shadowbane's development team, this loophole will be rectified in a future patch.

Free-hold Bane Circles
Any bane circle found to have as a Nation, a freehold such as "Sea Dog's Rest" will be removed by the Shadowbane customer care team with no compensation provided to its owner. Placing bane circles in this fashion was not intended by Shadowbane's development team, this loophole will be rectified in a future patch.

Obstructed Bane Circles
Bane circles obstructed by surrounding trees and/or enemy bulwarks are considered legal by the Customer Care Representative (CCR) team as long as the bane circle is not completely inside a tree and buildings of war are not directly placed over the bane circle. This includes bane circles that are inaccessible by melee characters until the surrounding obstructing buildings of war are destroyed. Players should use the means at their disposal to clear a path to the bane circle.
